The true optic treatment zone of the Wave™ Eye-Q laser  is what sets it apart from every other laser on the market. The optic zone should match or exceed your pupil size in dim illumination so that at night, when your pupils expand, you still see through a fully corrected cornea. A larger optical zone is especially important for night vision and individuals with large pupils. The Allegretto Wave™ Eye-Q is able to produce these large optical zones which virtually eliminates glare and night vision problems associated with other lasers. The Allegretto is the only FDA approved laser that improves night vision and glare.

After the beam has been created, it passes through three checkpoints on its way to your eye. At each of these points, the energy level is checked and adjusted if necessary; ensuring that the laser beam energy is perfect at its destination.
