LASIK Surgery Denver Colorado

InSight Lasik provides a "full-service" laser vision correction center to patients throughout the Denver, Colorado area. A wide range of refractive surgical procedures are performed in our state-of-the-art Lafayette facility, including:

Presbyopia surgery

If you are in your mid-forties and have mild myopia (up to -3.00), you probably have discovered that it is easier to focus up close and read the newspaper without your distance glasses. If you have PRK or LASIK, your distance vision will be corrected, but you may find it more comfortable, or necessary, to wear reading glasses for comfort up close. This is because no type of vision correction surgery can eliminate or reverse presbyopia, which is a part of the natural aging process of the eye. If you are considering presbyopia surgery, know that the surgeons at InSight Lasik are extensively involved in refractive surgery and would be happy to meet with you to discuss your case.

CK - Conductive Keratoplasty

Conductive Keratoplasty (CK) is a non-invasive procedure that utilizes radiofrequency (RF) energy to steepen the cornea, reducing the patient's dependence on reading glasses. For a majority of our Colorado patients, this improvement in near vision means that they are once again able to read the newspaper, cell phone screen, or medication labels. For its work with the CK procedure, the Colorado InSight Lasik clinic has been named a CK Center of Excellence-one of only three such centers in the United States. As a Center of Excellence, InSight instructs surgeons and their staff members on the implementation and optimization of CK in their practice.

Custom / Wavefront Optimized LASIK - Laser In-Situ Keratomileusis

InSight Lasik recently upgraded from offering CustomCornea®, for people throughout Denver, Boulder and all of Northern Colorado, to Allegretto Wavefront Optimized LASIK. CustomCornea® and InSight's CustomCornea® could help with other vision problems that could not be detected previously, known as higher order aberrations. However, the Allegretto Wave Eye-Q provides the most technologically advanced system on the market, and has been proven to reduce glare and halos in low-light conditions and at night, for example, if you were having trouble driving through the Eisenhower Tunnel from Denver to Vail.

PRK - Photorefractive Keratectomy

InSight LASIK offers the most effective and technologically advanced procedures for photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) laser surgery throughout the Denver, Colorado area. Photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) was the first procedure performed using the excimer laser. The difference between PRK and LASIK is that with LASIK a corneal flap is created and the laser is applied to the inner tissue of the cornea. With PRK, the epithelium (the outer layer of the cornea that continually replaces itself) is removed and a laser is applied to the surface of the permanent cornea (stroma). PRK can be used to correct low to high levels of nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism.
