CK or Conductive Keratoplasty in Denver Colorado

Conductive Keratoplasty (CK) in Denver Colorado is a non-laser, collagen-shrinking procedure for the treatment of mild to moderate hyperopia. CK was granted by the FDA first ever approval for any procedure for the treatment of presbyopia-induced problems. CK uses a pen-shaped instrument with a cool tip as thin as a human hair. After application of a topical anesthetic (numbing drops) the radiofrequency (RF) energy is applied to the cornea in a circular pattern. This pattern is along the periphery of the cornea and minimizes interference with your line of sight.

The procedure is performed in our office and you're here about an hour on treatment day. CK is considered painless. Once finished, you don't have to wear a patch and can usually return to work within 48 hours. Vision continues to improve during the first month.
